Learning to love midi dresses

This outfit was definitely one of those that I’d planned in my head but when I tried it on I was so unsure. I bought this Topshop dress a few months ago, I love it on everyone I’ve seen wearing it but I am so iffy of it on myself. Being as tall as I am, the length hits me on a totally different point on the leg. When walking it looks really cool, but stood still I look like I’m wearing a limp curtain, does anyone else feel like this when wearing midi dresses? Any tips to combat looking like a curtain would be great!

I’m also very into this new t-shirt from Nasty Gal and knew I wanted to wear it tied over this dress. With Topshop Cowboy boots, House of Holland bag and a red Topshop 80’s style suede/leather jacket I absolutely love this outfit. I think learning to love this new midi length on me will take some trial and error, but I think I may have (almost) cracked it.

Dress – Topshop similar: pale pink, red, yellow
