That last bit of summer

I’m not sure I’ve ever realised how much I LOVE summer until this year. I’ve been chasing the sun ever since May and my god this British summer hasn’t disappointed! 2018 is definitely a year I’ll look back on when I’m older and say ‘the summer of 2018 was incredible!’

Not only have I had an amazing Festival, gig, event filled Summer with my friends and family I also feel I’ve found my style a bit more. I got my summer wardrobe down to ‘T’ and loved every piece I’ve bought in the past few months. But moving into the cooler months I feel completely thrown off!

Struggling with the weather and still reluctant to wear tights (this probably won’t happen until late November, tights suck!) I am doing the usual wear more ‘layers on top to counter act bare legs’. Another tip for bare legs in cooler months are thick socks and hats (berets, baker boys, you know the drill) and you’ll feel the cold a lot less!

Luckily the day we shot these photos the weather was lovely but I’ve since been wearing this outfit with big jumpers and cardigans. I love this snake print skirt and don’t feel it’s going to work with black tights when it gets colder so I’m making the most of it now!

This summer has also given me a love for clashing prints. I think it’s oh so fine to clash snake and stripes in this outfit as it’s subtle and fits within the colour palette. With my Dr Marten boots (very trusty) I feel really good in this outfit.
